My partner has a ssc march 9th 2017
He seems to have downhill the last month. Really tired & irritable. I can't do anything right in his eyes an iv turned into his career, an not his long tem patner. I get so fed up sometimes I feel like walking out. I love him do much but he is not the man I once knew. We both worked full time an now we are together all the time as he hates it if I go out on my own. I don't know what to do.
First know you're most likely doing nothing wrong. He is feeling poorly and when that happens people can be extra critical of others and everything else in their life. I'm sure he is highly frustrated at not being able to be as he once was. All that said, do whatever it is you need too do to take care of yourself and your needs. You can't give from an empty life. When your needs are being taken care of you 'll be better able to deal with your partner. Also here is another thing to consider - when you can make it ok if he never gets any better than he is right now - it will make it so you can deal with all of it better. I'm not saying you shouldn't hope for things improve. Just when you can adopt a new mindset about the whole thing it will get easier to deal with this change you're both having to deal with. I know many days things really can suck. Take it a day at a time. I wish you a better day tomorrow.
Thank you. I went to town today for 2 hrs on my own it was so nice to do my own thing. I will look at things in a new way like you say, got a busy week coming up s Terry is going back in hospital they want to do tests as they say he doesn't look right. Thank you for replying to me x
