Is there any advice you have received about your condition that would have been valuable to know at the time of receiving the diagnosis?

Following my stenting after an MI in 2011 I had some problems post procedure mths after with chest pain ,discomfort etc which led to angiogram and pressure wire studies to check stent which was ok . Recently A doctor explained to me that you can get "stretching" pain from the stent while it settles No one had mentioned this to me and always were baffled! I think in part some of my symptoms could have been put down to this and might gave been reassuring if I knew what was to be expected .

I have just had pulmonary hypertension diagnosed the treatment involves water tablets.I had a Heart attack 14 yrs ago after the symptoms had been ignored for 4 yrs with no referrals [ policy?} have only just got the oedema[ lipo- lymp oedema treated with water tablets when it can be a symptom of heart failure .Yet this area only have provision from a MACMILLAN Nurse on a remit? And main A&E 40 min away has no specialist testing directing .I have had to have procedures abroad.

Am having the GPs say they don't deal with the pulmonary/respiratory yet his specialism was heart .Yet allowed A&E testing & hospital Provision to be taken away locally and their admins to block hospital access via Choose and Book and registrars .Surely this is a health & safety risk that Care Quality Commission should be seeing is attended toWhy are the Doctors not overseeing ? Where is their hippocratic oath?

As a former GP Panel Link member this lack of specialist direction is organised .I went to COPD meeting there were no patients or charity and they were planning to deal with it via the unqualified in medical diagnosis. .Then was not allowed to feedback.I know there is a problem as anaesthetists won't take risk so have to have a private dentist who is an anaesthetist to restore .Have to travel 100miles each way to London where lived up to 4 yrs ago.

Why did it take a further 14 yrs to diagnose PAH post capillary & heart failure when it was targetted via Function in 1996 .Could it be it relates to microvascular & MID [ Alzheimers ] that my Late Mother had severely with sepsis TIA s & utis ?

Quad bypass and 2 stents a year after that. Because i weighed 120, small stature the docs didnt take me serious enough to check my veins and avoid bypass all together.blood pressure, cholesteral, trigycerides, stress...all have a bearing.Im not a stupid person, a CNA previously so if i had been even suggested to check the vessels of heart i would have missed it all! i had a back ache, some nausea but with MS they ignored symptoms. SPEAK UP,
