Hi!. I am still using IcyHot for my RLS and it still works. I'm not using it everyday, only when I feel my legs are beginning to bother me again. I'm still very happy about it.
I have been taking Ropinirole everyday for about a year now and it doesn't seem to do much good. Only now, with the help of the IcyHot I have begun to feel much better. So, I'm beginning to wonder if Ropinirole is the right medication for that syndrome.
If that were the case, wouldn't it be better for all the people who post here looking for help, to get a prescription for that medication and run to the drugstore (Chemist)? Just asking.
Does anyone have an opinion on this? Manerva?

Im currently on ropinerole and it works for me but they had to put my dosage up to a very high dosage. However it turned out I was diabetic and also needed an iron top up and that was the reason that my rls was getting to the point where the ropinerole didnt work. The problem with it is that the side effects are so awful for some people, myself included they dont want to hand it out to everyone. I only take it out of desparation. I fell down the stairs and broke my shoulder because I fell asleep standing up, so I would take anything at the moment that would stop the rls.
I do as well, the problem for me is that the side effects with the sickness makes it so that I cannot go anywhere or have a normal night out, that is why I switched to working nights. Some nights it can take that long to kick in for me, mainly its if I go out with friends and eat. I cant have alcohol at all otherwise if I get drunk it doesnt seem to work but I think that could also be connected to my diabetes. Its a horrid disease and I hate it but I do get some relief with the ropinerol as in once it gets in my system it makes me sleep and stops the legs
