Hello just wanted to say i found this group at 4 a.m when i couldnt sleep because of rls. I am a lupus sufferer and take gabapentin as one of my meds. I still have breakthrough rls, sometimes awful .anyway i was reading thru some post and remembered i had bought some magnesium oil. Cholride brine...anyway finally sprayed it on my legs and feet.......it worked! Probably 98 percent was gone.i finally fell asleep. It did burn on softer skin but it worked for me!

(I’m online, hence the quick reply).

Do you find that it itches when applied?

For me it was a burn...but it was only on my softer skin...like behind my knees and thighs. It didnt bother my calves any. It does say to apply to calves and feet. I was surprised it worked so fast!

Hi! About to log off, but wanted to reply first. Now that’s interesting about it only burning on the softer skin. I wonder why that is?

It does work quickly, doesn’t it! (I use it as well).

Just in case you’re wondering: I read that the itching at least comes from the magnesium being absorbed and is a sign that the cells in that area are lacking it.

Have a good day!

You know sorry such a late reply, i havent logged in. Lol...anyway i have had to use it since then a few times ,these times it has bothered me more..sting all overwhere i applied it. So i do have lupus that affects my organs and skin is an organ obviously. It might just be me because alot of times i cant use make up, lotions ,sunblock you name it. Maybe its just me? But my magnesium spray is brine water based, which is salt. Im intrested to know if it bothers others? Thanks!

Glad to hear it helps you. I have tried it for a while in the past and couldn’t cope with the intense itching, almost worse than the restlessness!

Yes for me its a burn, i had to use it again last night...and it was def. Uncomfortable, but my restless leg was worse . But i can see where people would need to weigh the outcome.
