So I've been having symptoms of RLS like the leg twitches and tingling in my arms and feet mainly at night but also my arm alot during the day and mainly only the right side of my body I've had tests at the hospital and no clear result was found just suspected RLS so I was prescribed pregablin and it started to work wonders then it would come back so they slowly started to up the dose and that has solved the problem at night but I still get it alot in my arm during the day and now my doctors are trying to pull me off the tablet altogether which is worrying not enough is explained anymore at the doctors that's not a dig at them it's very understaffed and a lot of patients

Hi Steve. I am new to this forum and to RLS research, but I've had RLS most of my life. My general understanding is that it's a constant need to move the legs or arms to relieve an intense creepy-crawly, painful feeling. It causes insomnia in most (I think) sufferers. It can be genetic, or triggered by something like opiate withdrawal. If you have tingling, but not the constant need to move the limbs, you may not have RLS. Or a very mild version of it.

One other thought -- taking you off of pregablin after it's working for you seems odd. If it works, I'd tell them I'd want to stay on it. It's an RLS drug others on the forum have had luck with. I hope you get a good resolution at your clinic.

Hi Steve. You will find this site very helpful and supportive. If you haven't already checked the site out, please do have a look around it - rls-uk.org go on the menu and have a look at "about rls" amongst others. There are some very knowledgeable members here who have helped me enormously.

Hi, Steve.

What you said may be related to either B6 toxicity or even B6 deficiency; oddly enough, the symptoms are similar, so best to not guess. I recommend a B6 lab test. Be aware that no matter which lab is used, the specimen must be separated and protected from light.
