Hi Melanie,

I felt so sad reading your post. It must be awful to be told that a drug that you were prescribed caused your miscarriage.

I am concerned also that you might be in for a hard time now because stopping ropinerole can cause your rls to get very very bad for a while, depending on how much you were taking and for how long. It is generally not advisable to discontinue it suddenly but to reduce the dose gradually (unless you were ona very low dose). The only drug that will help with the very bad rls during the withdrawal period (which usually lasts 10 to 14 days) is an opioid such as OxyContin. Obviously an opioid would be undesirable if you are likely to get pregnant again while taking it.

I hope you are doing ok and getting some sleep at the moment.

I am so sorry Melanie about your loss. I have lost a baby too, and it was very hard.. Glad you figured out what caused it and are able to stop it. Best luck with future efforts
