Kratom tincture

Does anyone have success using kratom tincture? I have been using kratom powder mixed in orange juice for months and it really works well at stopping my RLS symptoms, but lately it has started making me really sick (nauseated and throwing up). So I wondered if I used it in tincture form would I have less side effects and would it work as well as the powder form?

I bought a little capsule making device off Amazon so I can take a number of pills as opposed to trying to wash that powdery mess down!! This is the one I got:

amazon.co.uk/Capsule-Connec...

Its 00 size so you need the empty gel caps to use with it and it is very easy to use:

amazon.co.uk/Alchemists-Apo...

Hope that helps.

How much powder can you get in each capsule? How long does it take to work with capsules? I get almost immediate relief with washing down the powder with orange juice.

I get about 7.5g into 12 capsules which would have been my standard dose. The capsules breakdown very quickly as I can tell from my burps!!!

I notice no difference in these roots of administration, there are only moments before the caps break down - a bigger barrier would be food.

7.5 grams is my dose, too, but I don't think I could swallow 12 capsules...lol

I take them either 3 sets of 4 tabs or 4 sets of 3 tabs.

I used to mix it in water and drink it but Jebus that was rough.

I order it from dekratomshop.nl. They send it by post. The quality seems fine though in fairness I don’t have a wide experience.

I have not tried the tincture, but maybe make sure you are eating something before taking the powder? I read online that some folks take the powder with milk and have success with that, and some have used antacids. Best luck there. I don't take it because they seem to be looking at it like they do marijuana here - mostly illegal.... Best luck

If you're throwing up you're taking too much. Just lower

your dose.

You could try taking ginger for the nausea. It is very effective against nausea. You can make a tea with fresh ginger and honey or munch on crystalised ginger.

Hi LanaCSR.

I took kratom for months in powder form by making into a warm tea (mixed the kratom with hot water), and then I added lots of stevia to sweeten it, along with a vanilla-flavored creamer. That helped me get it down for quite awhile. Then, when I finally got to the point where that was becoming uncomfortable (just from too much creamer and stevia trying to disguise the kratom flavor), I too purchased a capsule-making machine and began to make my own capsules. That has helped a lot. The amount per capsule will vary based on how hard you pack it into the capsule, and you can easily monitor that with an inexpensive gram scale.

I hope this is helpful. Good luck!

(I haven't tried a kratom tincture.)

Thank you so much! So the capsules don't make you sick?

No, I haven't had any problem in that regard. If I take too many capsules on an empty stomach, I can tell that my stomach is very happy about it, but that would likely be true with almost any substance where I'm taking 10 or more capsules at a time. So I usually eat some food with it, even if it's only a banana, and that seems to make my stomach happy.

Best,

Doug

I guess I've shied away from the tincture because it is made with alcohol and alcoholic beverages make my RLS act up. So I am afraid it would work against me instead of for me. I think I will try the capsules. I appreciate your input!

Good evening! I'm looking at my RX of Tramadol knowing I need to go to the doc to get a refill and I'm dreading it. I feel so trapped by having to take these pills every night in order to sleep. I'm going to try Kratom. I'm in the US in NJ, so it's legal here in my state. I'm so sick of these drugs and lack of sleep (learned on this forum that the insomnia is probably an aug symptom from the tramadol). I'm willing to do almost anything for relief. I have had to be gluten free (I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis) and have started intermittent fasting to help with they hypothyroidism. I have noticed this is helping the RLS. I'm hoping with Kratom, IF and a gluten free diet to greatly reduce or eliminate my need for tramadol. I'm so happy to have found this forum! Thank you for the information on kratom. I hope it works!
