Relief, at least for the time being

I have had a back problem for many years, and have felt for a long time that my rls and my back problem are connected.

For the past few nights I have found some relief. I am doing an online yoga practice which specifically targets back problems. I spend 10 minutes before going to bed, and I find I am able to get off to sleep quite easily, then when I wake up in the night with my rls I get up and spend another 10 minutes doing the exercises, then get back into bed. The trick is not to put on a bright light while you are doing the yoga as it makes it more difficult to go back to sleep. Just lie down, do the poses with your eyes shut, then straight back to bed.

It's not totally ideal, as I am still up each night, but it's far better than suffering for sometimes hours on end. I just hope the relief continues, and it helps others

I have been saying to anyone who will listen that my RLS is linked to lower back problems. I have a nerve touching the spine and whenever the back is bad, my RLS worsens. I tried yoga but didn't really find a routine that was easy to follow. The RLS ones I found were about 45 mins to an hour to follow, and I find that difficult to fit in every day. Would be really grateful if you could post a link to the routine you are using and I'll give it a try. Thanks.
