Neupro patch cut in half

I’m trying to wean off patch. I’m down to 1 mg and ran out. I’ve got a bunch of 2 mg patches left over and with the price of them I’d like to use them. Can I cut a 2 mg patch in half?

I am on the patch and tried to wean of but it didn’t work I went to 1mg leg played up so went back to 2 now no probs But your answer is I was told no but some folks do cut them in half just cut away and you will soon find out no need to tell anyone x

Lots cut the patch in half, even tho it says not to, i done it in the pass when i was using them. Are you weaning down with any opiate to help with the withdrawals. ? And why are you wanting off them?

My neurologist is weaning me off because of unusual side effect of strange sexual urges. I started going to massage parlors and visiting prostitutes. Crazy behavior for me

My neurologist is having me take gabapentin. I’m taking 2700mg a day broken down into one in the morning, 4 at dinner and 4 at bedtime. It doesn’t do anything except give me brain fog.

Good enough reason to get off the patch. I could never take Gabapentin, i was only taking 600mgs and it did nothing for my RLS and made me extremely drowsy in the day, so much i just slept, so after month i stopped it. Have you asked your doctor for a opiate like codeine or tramadol ? it will help with any withdrawals from the patch.

Do we know where on the patch the medicine is concentrated? Just something to think about....

Although it says not to cut the patch many people including myself do. Dr B has told me it's ok so that's good enough for me x

I cut it in half successfully coming off it.

Good reason to come off. I have cut them in half and managed ok. I was told by a neurologist that it was ok. I have noticed in the evenings that I can wake up without knowing I had shut my eyes. I have five minute naps. No problems in themselves but needless to say I will not drive when I am tired!
