My personal opinion is no to the potassium to help with RLS.

If you take magnesium in any form (tablets, transdermally) you may want to consider extra potassium, extra calcium and check your salt/sodium intake. But the only one of these that just may help otherwise healthy RLS sufferers is the magnesium.

Potassium supplements are limited to 100mg in the United States; in the UK you can buy potassium chloride and potassium citrate as a powder for human consumption. I believe the daily requirement for potassium is 4.7 grams, even moderate overdose can be lethal.

I have found that taking potassium is one of the things that can help sometimes but not always. This seems to be a characteristic of RLS, in my experience. I use rehydration sachets, available from Boots which contain the right balance of sodium and potassium. Another good source is a banana.

Adrenal Cocktail could have merit for RLS. I have been trying it for awhile - no real results to report. 1/4 tsp Sea Salt, 1/4 tsp. Cream of Tartar (supplies about 125mg Potassium) mixed with juice. gotmag.org/the-adrenal-cock...
