Do not start any dopaminergic drugs without learning about the lifelong consequences. Google DAWS.

Welcome-Oh Saviour of the RLS world.

I presume you have been reading the ongoing posts here over the last few years and have come to save us in our abysmal ignorance.

Thankyou.

Cheers.

Seriously- it is dangerous scaremongering to do what you are doing - albeit in good faith.

Dopamines are a good and effective drug for many people , as long as they are used wisely and correctly.

Suffering from fullblown RLS is a far worse fate than almost any other condition , I can think of.

Cheers again.

I suspect nanhio that you have suffered or are suffering from dopamine withdrawal. I was on Mirapexin for 10 plus years and have recently taken my last tablet so am off it now. Yes, it was brilliant while it lasted but you do pay for it in the end.

i agree Madlegs, the dopamine meds can work well for those who can tolerate them. Its just these days more is known about them and the increasing of the dose is what has caused so many to have augmentation then the nightmare of weaning off them. Keeping the dose low as possible is now the way to go, and not let doctor's increase them. That way some should get a good milage out of them.

I agree with all of the above replys and to add an additional risk which I experienced several years ago.

The subject med can cause your natural Sodium levels to fall below safe levels. I had to check my self into a hospital twice for low Sodium levels. I had really good team of Emery Doctors that couldn't figure out the reason for the low count. After my second hospital vis it I started searching for my answer

Sorry about that.

I found a paper posted by Korean DOctober where his patient had similar reaction.

Suggest you try to keep your doses as low as possible. I have found that just a little of Cannbius (mmj) will help you control and cope with your RLS.
