Restless Leg Syndrome. Detox from Dopamine medication... My journey.

After being on Pramepipexole (Sifrol) for several years my GP is helping me detox from the dopamine medication because I had augmentation and my RLS symptoms were really bad each day and night. Now it's day 6 and tonight is my first night without any Pramipexole at all. I've had quite bad flu symptoms since using only half dose in the last week. I'm waiting and watching for symptoms that will catch me unawares but if this is it then maybe I am blessed but I'm not being too smug just yet. My name is Katy, I'm an over sixties last who's had RLS for over fifteen years.

Welcome Katy hope you get some decent rest soon. Those drugs are severe. I had what I thought was augmentation and it turned out to be a worsening of the RLS, so in a way at least you are luck its only augmentation - what drugs are they changing you to?
