An alternative antidepressant to Trazadone.

I have been on Trazadone for a couple of months now. But it's affecting my vision, in particular my eyes. So much so that I need to change my glasses. It's also the amout weight I've put on. My legs are now with so very compromised bending. Pregabalin is also making me put on weight. More and more I feel sinking into a mass on side effects, pain, depression and I'm swirling into disability. RLS is not a problem and that is because I'm not regular antidepressants. I try to be without them but that was scaring! I think more and more about suicide. When I go for a walk wish a tree could crash me and not to be a burden to my husband and how this is so affecting my son. I'm being bullied at work because they want to get rid of me. So can you help suggesting medication for depression not affecting RLS.

Mispiemas, Some of your medicines might have to be changed. I can't

suggest another medicine but I would check that website rlshelp.org

to find out what you can't have. Pregabalin increases the appetite. Please

talk to your doctor and there is another lady on here that is having some

problems with work as well but she's got the flu so give it some time.

It might be best to apply for disability just to relieve yourself of the work

situation. Being on disability is not the end of life. It might give you some life back.

I am so tired to keep going to the doctor and thinking what is going on . When I looked at the RLS website it was not so helpful. I am getting worse and things are so complicated now. I need to be able to see a specialist but, which one? I'm beginning to think this is ME more and more. Your advise of disability is right but at the moment I cannot afford not working and I'm fighting the principal of getting dismissed just like that. So there is so much to do! But on the other hand I have always done too much. Thank you for your advise.

Dear Mispiernas, I'm so sorry for you!! You do have so much trouble: RLS and depression and it's getting worse and also getting bullied at work, it's too much!! I'm gonna tell you what I did. I also have a depression and RLS for years. For my depression I used Citalopram. My neurologist adviced me to change it into Wellbutrin, because Citalopram is a trigger for RLS and Wellbutrin is not. So I did and it worked for me: RLS is under controle. For my RLS I use Pramipexole that works for 24 hours, I take 3 tablets (0,26mg) at 6 pm and I take 2 Tramadol. Maybe this antidepressant can work for you to, I'don't know in wich country you live, I hope it

s available in your place, I live in The Netherlands. I wish you alle the best!!

It is always nice to have your comments. I'm beginning to think this is ME but I'm not sure how to go about it. I'm tired of trying to be a doctor and reading into so many possibilities. It's fine when things stay the same and there's no change. But there is so much to have to fight. On the other hand there's no alternative. My legs are definitely getting worse. Bending down to the floor and getting up is very painful and my legs feel so stiff. My depression is another thing to be very scared. My temperature is like being in a sauna several times a day. Headaches and sore throat. When I look at the symptoms of ME I suffer from most of them. So it's not just RLS. But I'm glad that now they are not bothering me. If I didn't need to work it would be a lot better and maybe in time this is what I will have to do. Work has become so stressful with my head because he is trying to get rid of me and is making me feel so stressed.

Thanks for taking the time and giving me such helpful advise!
