I am so sorry for taking all of you for granted

The other day, I visited another message board and asked a yes/no question. It's received over 100 views, but no one has bothered to take the effort to respond. I notice a lot of threads over there have hundreds of views, but less than 5 responses. I feel really bad for the members of that "support" group. :(

Hello ookla,

We would not normally encourage people to discuss other support groups (thank you for not implying or naming the group you are referring to) on the RLS-UK forum.

However in this instance your comment is a compliment to all of the good people on this forum. I find myself regularly having to criticise people for their arguments etc on the forum but it is so nice to also be able to say that the forum does work, that people do find it useful and that all of the forum users are to thank for that.

Daragh, Chair RLS-UK

Hi ookla, as the Chair has said, we do have our ups and downs on this forum, we can be quite vocal. But someone does always reply to a post or question, some might have to wait a few days. So, stay with us, and you are not taking us for granted at all . :)

No way do you take us, any of us for granted ookla, and yes ive seen some of those site's and group's to !! ;)

I greatly appreciate it. As my suspicion is growing that I actually don't have RLS, I feel a bit disingenuous being here. :(

in reply to ookla

That would be lovely if you didnt have RLS ookla :)

Hi! I am not sure if you will even access this site anymore but I read your posts on managing your suspected RLS.

There is a newer form of gabapentin that has been shown to work better than the short-acting gabapentin (Neurontin)

Check out Gabapentin enacarbil extended release (Horizant)

Best of luck!

Thanks for your reply. I still check the site quite often. I tried horizant, but it didn't work for me. I'm currently using oxycodone. I'm unable to take the proper therapeutic dose due to side effects, so I'm taking a smaller dose to at least take the edge off enough to not be completely miserable. Hope you've found something that works for you.
