Doubt about raynaud's

Hi, this year I've been diagnosed with primary raynaud's. My blood tests were fine but the capillaroscopy test showed that the capilars are altered, should I be worried about developing secondary raynaud's eventually? Also the areas around my nails are always really swollen, do you know if that is caused by rayanaud's?

Thanks for your help

  • Hello,

My understanding is that primary raynauds has no underlying cause (I've had this for at least 28 years), whilst secondary is a result of an underlying cause. As far as I am aware, primary does not become secondary, but I guess that secondary could be misdiagnosed as primary? Sorry to not be of more help, hopefully someone with a better understanding of secondary can chip in.
