You need to get on antibiotics, and wash it often to keep it CLEAN, see a doctor. Why are you trying to cure it yourself!?

I agree with tezza. You need to see your gp who may refer you to podiatry or tissue viability nurse. They will provide the appropriate assessment and treatment needed. Hope it all goes well.

You must ask for help with your ulcer. I had a finger ulcer for 2 years, tried to treat it myself, then with several courses of antibiotics via the GP and finally, after having asked for a Rheumy referral ended up having it surgically debrided and Iloprost infusions which both helped enormously. Only calcinosis has returned in these areas, no ulcers following the Iloprost so cannot urge you strongly enough to get it sorted out, sooner rather than later. Best wishes for a speedy recovery from this horrible and very painful ulcer.

I have had the same problem now been given GTN Patches to put at the base of Toe / Fingers to help the vessels to open and get the blood needed to heal the ulcer

its working for me so far
