Yes I do. I was referred by my dentist about 2 years ago, who said that they might be able to help with the dry mouth. They were very thorough, did quite a few tests, confirmed I have Sjorgens. Did a test for thrush, which was positive, I now have monthly Nystatin susp. to keep it at bay and take pilocarpine to stimulate saliva. It was stressed to me the danger of having an infection in my salivary glands, I now have them scanned yearly and am told that if I do get swellings I am to get directly in touch with them straight away. I usually come out with a package of samples of gels etc for dry mouth. They have been extremely helpful to me and I can't recommend them enough. I now have a six monthly app. I usually see Ms Cobine-Davis, a bit short on first meeting, much better for knowing.

Thanks for that I am seeing the dentist tomorrow for another extraction (they don't seem to respond to root canal or crowns any more and I'm worried am going to lose the lot) so I'll ask him about a referral. X

I go to the Eastman Dental Hosp in London. Like Yorky I have Sjogrens and Lichen Planus. Also been told about salivery glands infection and if I get any lumps at all whether they hurt or not to make an appt to see them asap.... Had a lump behind my jawline/ear recently which turned out to be a blocked salivery gland very painful and got bigger as I ate. I went to have some dye put into the salivery glands to see if there was any more blockage but the consultant would not continue as she said that the salivery glands are very scared and didnt want to make things worse. Hence, the lump disappeared on its own but was very painful. I have had lots of work done in my mouth and the latest was root canal treatment that didnt work and eventually had to have denture.. yuk .. it is awful...... Good hygiene is a must - regular Hygienist appts and dental check ups will help xx Good luck

I have Raynauds and Scleroderma too. I also live in Leeds and have a wonderful dentist who takes great care of my teeth. I do have a lot of problems because of a low immune system. Remember to floss regularly.

Yes, I have trouble with my teeth and gums. I have limited Schleroderma. My gums retract and my teeth get loose. I have to use a special tooth paste (Duraphat, on prescription from the dentist otherwise it is very expensive) and see my dentist regularly and the hygienist. I don't have Sjogren.
