After recently writing to my MP regarding the review and removal of CBT/GET from NICE guidelines, my letter was passed onto the Health Secretary. Jeremy Hunt replied and said that:

" NICE's recommendations to offer cognitive behavioural therapy and graded exercise therapy are in the context of a specialist service and an individualised care programme. They remain within the control of the person with CFS/ME and NICE recommends that they should only be offered to those who agree to this approach."

So, straight from the horse's mouth, we are entitled to say no to these therapies. That's what we must all do. Vote with our feet and refuse based on current scientific evidence.
