The debacle rumbles on. How can they say data should not be released when tribunal said it must be. As the article says, what have they got to hide. 😡

Hi CheshireKatz

Have you seen there is an interesting thread about this on Pheonix Rising with some comments from the nephrologist that actually tweeted the slides.

David Tullers response on libel accusations virology.ws/2017/05/03/tria...

With the American love of lawyers one can only hope this has it's day in court where redress and transparency will take place.

Indeed. David Tuller is brilliant isn't he. He brings such a calm level headed approach to biting someone on the bum. EC is messing with the wrong bloke taking him on.

The other bright note is that as he so rightly says in that piece, we should also be grateul to the JHP for finally giving us that chink in the armour of getting through to the UK establishment. Let's hope the house of cards continues to fall.

David Tullers comment at JHP was only an abstract last I looked must check again if the full comment is now available as the previous comments have from the others.

Yes, DTs piece in JHP is still an abstract, I too am awaiting it to be fully open to the public.

The piece I was referring to was the one in Virology Blog as Seascape has linked to which is his reply to Esther Crawley's recent slides at the Renal Society's conference where she accuses him of libelling her in his previous Virology blogs on MAGENTA. Think I got that right, I'm a bit tired now.

Release the data or have the paper retracted it is that simple, all of this haggling over attempts by the principal investigators to write their own personal data sharing policy is pure farce when the paper was published under open access to supporting data rules.

Peter White expresses surprise with PLOS issuing an EOC (expression of concern) is this because it has taken almost two years and they believed the usual tactics had once more succeeded or an arrogance that anyone will have the audacity to question their findings.
