With all this evidence of a physical energy impairment the why of still allowing MAGENTA trial to inflict this treatment on children escapes me.

For God`s sake, walking will just make you worse. ME stops enough oxygenated blood to reach your organs. There is also an actual reduction in blood volume. Even standing can cause severe repercussions. Some people like myself get very ill if we try to stand for more than a few minutes.

You have precious oxygenated blood to live, pushing your body only exaserbates the situation.Your organs need extra oxygen to do any work, even reading is work ! ME often causes the body to only just get by, lying down. Overdo this basic "work " and you will pay for it as ME will bite back. You could well cause you to get to the point of utter exhaustion. This can make you very ill indeed .

With a brain disease that reduces the actual volume of blood lime ME. Also that the brain interferes with the actual production of mitochondria . This is exactly what I would predict.

Once and for all, please accept that with ME, the more you do the worse you get.

I notice the study did not show the general malaise of those who took part in the next 36 hours.

Good point mitty999 worse part that arrives after overdoing not recorded. A report that understood CPET (cardio pulmonary exercise test) results on second test are significantly down follows up on general malaise.
