Radiotherapy
I’ve just finished a 3 week course of
Radiotherapy
and I feel dreadful. I’ve been very sick and it feels like flu. I’m very tired and sleeping a lot. Complete loss of appetite. I didn’t find chemotherapy as bad as this. Has anyone else had this experience ?

Does anyone know if radio therapy (breast) if you’re already on thyroxine might affect levels/ blood tests at all? I had radio this week but a test coming up in 6weeks to check levels following a thyroxine increase while on tamoxifen. I know it can induce, this is is yourre already on a stable dose

I was offered
Radiotherapy
around nine months ago , but due to the possible side effects and my pre existing conditions , I can't make my mind up what to do.

Next steps after radiotherapy
He got a PET scan and then underwent ~20 days of
radiotherapy
in Nov 2023. But his doctor has not asked him to do any follow-up tests after the
radiotherapy
ended. Is this the norm?

Dexamethasone
My cousin has a brain tumour and is receiving
radiotherapy
. In addition, she has been prescribed 2mg daily dexamethasone steroids. I'm wondering what is the difference between this drug and prednisolone?

Radiotherapy for OC in lymph nodes
I wonder if those on here in England, who have had
radiotherapy
, could please tell me which hospital trust you had the treatment under. My oncologist still says they don't use
radiotherapy
, though I know many of you have had it.

I found finding a comfortable bra was more of a problem because of swelling from the op and also
radiotherapy
. Hope all goes well for you.

We are awaiting a scan appointment & they may then discuss
radiotherapy
, wondered if anyone has had a similar experience? As my Mum is 80 I know she would not take chemo, but wondered what the side affects may be like if she is offered
radiotherapy
? Love to hear from you!

Please send me some positivity.
I will either need surgery (if they can), chemo or
radiotherapy
. I'm so scared as this is my first recurrence from Stage 4 ovarian cancer and I'm only 56 and have two teenagers. I can't stop crying.

What should I do - follow-ups not feeling thorough
So I had surgery, chemo, external
radiotherapy
and then horrible internal
radiotherapy
. That all finished February last year and I’m pretty well at the moment - just uber sensitive to any little twinge. Current mild back ache.

2020 pilot study on benefit of alpha blockers which I wish I had known about when I had local radiotherapy
Sellers, David Christie & Shailendra Anoopkumar-Dukie Abstract While alpha-blockers are commonly used to reduce lower urinary tract symptoms in prostate cancer patients receiving
radiotherapy
, their impact on response to
radiotherapy
remains unknown.

They are now suggesting
radiotherapy
to the three areas together with hormone treatment. I assume that the
radiotherapy
is going to make my overactive bladder worse.

Body jerking/spasms
Since finishing
radiotherapy
in August for lung cancer, I have these uncontrollable body jerking throughout the night, arms, legs, head etc. Also, twice now, I've fallen to the floor jerking on and off for nearly 30 minutes. I'm conscious, can hear things, but cannot stop the body movements.
