niece has DCIS, 3 lumpectomies and now needs mastectomy
We are dumbfounded that despite their assurances each time that it could be excised cleanly she now needs
radical
mastectomy
. We are also wanting help with deciding if she should ask for double mastectomy. Any help would be most welcome 🙏

Burning pain to side of scapular post several breast ops - anyone have this too?
I have begun to wonder if it is due to the 5 ops I've had on the same side at the front, of course, ie lumpectomy and 2 axilla removed in 2019,
radical
mastectomy
in Sept 2020 (9inches from chest bone to underarm), lumpectomy in 2021, lumpectomy in 2022 and larger area taken (5inches x 2 inches) along

Hi! I'm new and excited to meet others and learn about your journey
Good afternoon. I'm new to the group. I already posted an item, but thought I should introduce myself. I was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer in 2010. Had a mastectomy. Went on tamoxifen for 2 years, then quit because it made me feel miserable. No chemo. In 2022, I was once again diagnosed

Running bra
So, this is a bit niche but does anyone have any advice/sources for post mastectomy bras for running. A bit of background... My surgery was over 10 years ago I have tried various sports bras since but the only ones I have had and been happy with are cheap decathlon ones which clip at the back to a racer

My current struggle, anxiety
This isn’t strictly related to PP but in my lifelong saga with depression, anxiety, PD, and PP, I do still live with anxiety. It’s been bad lately. I’m also a 13 year breast cancer survivor and after mastectomy in 2010 I made the mistake of getting reconstruction with a breast implant. I won’t go

I'm wondering if anyone on here is on Verzenio monotherapy. That is just Verzenio, not in combo with anything. I take 200mg twice daily. I began this just over a month ago and wondering if anyone has been on this protocol and seen it help. To give a background. I was diagnosed first 27 years ago. Stage

Mini maze update.
Apologies I know I promised to post updates and haven't. I had my mini maze surgery back in September with the wonderful Mr Hunter on the NHS. I've been in NSR ever since which is amazing as I had moved to persistant Afib and I felt pretty awful all the time before surgery. I am soooo grateful to Mr

I have had three consecutive major surgeries in 2023 : March spinal, then mastectomy in June and hemicolectomy in September. Directly afterwards in October I had the COVID booster. Days later I woke one morning in debilitating pain in my neck , shoulders, upper arms, I could barely lift myself from

Kisqali added to Letrazole
So I was diagnosed with stage 2b lobular BC on 3/2023. Had a double mastectomy on 5/2023 and radiation. Onco and mammaprint said “no chemo benefit”. 26 lymph nodes taken out and 2 positive. Now oncologist wants to add Kisqali to my treatment regimen even though I am “cancer free”. I am sure it is due

Reconstruction after Mastectomy
Happy Holidays!!! I was wondering if there's anyone who's had a mastectomy with reconstruction and regretted it. I'm 43 MBC and there's a mass in tge same breast they've been watching but I think it's time to have the mastectomy as a preventative measure. Anyone willing to share their experiences?

Rads to spine scheduled
I had an appt at the Rad Center (over 50 miles away) this morning. I don't remember what it's called, but it was for a scan to set things up for radiation for the pain in my lower back. So now I start weekly Taxol IVs at the cancer center on Wed. and have radiation this Thursday and Friday and then
