Cant take Embrel anymore. Help.

Due to my cancer, my doc doesnt want to "stir anything up" by keeping me on Embrel. That drug was a miracle drug for me. All drugs seem to have some cancer risk but he'd rather not take the chance. Ive tried methotrexate, leflunimide, now Im taking something that is so mild (given to pregnant ra sufferers) that it's like taking nothing. What now? My ankles are killing me!!! Anyone have any luck with tumeric as an anti inflammatory. How about cinnamon? An elder lady in the vitamin isle suggested them to me. Any suggestions would be appreciated for my RA Warriors.

Merely supplemental information (if this helps at all), JBUBBIEWOO -- till folks come round to address your specific concerns:

• Here's some folks with Enbrel experience (from a podcast I routinely listen to): paddisonprogram.com/?s=Enbrel

They may have some insights/ shared experience that might help.

(Also, finding the Comments at bottom of transcripts interesting/ insightful too. 👍 )

.

• Also, supplementally, here's additional 'American RA Warriors' posts from folks with Enbrel experience: healthunlocked.com/search/e...

Wishing you the very best, JBUBBIEWOO! 🙏 🍀 🌺 🌞

Aside:

Yes, Turmeric (root & spice powder) works beautifully as an anti-inflammatory -- for some of us. 👍 Yet, (from what I understand) it doesn't work for everyone. (We're all so different & react differently to various things . . . 😳 🙃 🤔 )

[For example, Turmeric & Ginger are each anti-inflammatory roots/ spices that happen to work remarkably well for me. (Maybe I'm just lucky?! 🍀 🤔 ) I've not ingested Cinnamon in a large enough 'dose' to assess whether it was anti-inflammatory or not. Would love to hear other people's experience. 👍 ]

Also -- very importantly -- if you assess it's something you wish to try -- please work closely with your physician(s)/ rheumatologist to ensure any supplements, spices, herbs, etc. that you plan on ingesting do not conflict with meds you're currently taking or your current condition(s). You may already be well aware of this. 👍 🙏

(Merely noting just as a safe, gentle reminder. 😌 )

Think it's safest if we continue working hand-in-hand with our medical team as a 'check & balance' ⚖ -- to ensure we don't 'go off the rails'. 😳 😱 🙃 👍 (Merely my layman's opinion.)
