Help with Sulfasalazine

I star taking Sulfa 2 weeks ago I'm at the 3 a day now ... and I fill so sick to my stomach all day nauseous, 😫has anyone had anything like that and is just temporary, or that's what to spect!

Sulfa was given to me when it shouldn't because of methotrexate interaction. It caused welts on have and neck. I hope discontinuing it will help you, mine went away when I stopped. Best wishes you find a solution soon. Julie

Thanks Jewel, I did stop taking them a week ago and my stomach still sick, now my Doctor is checking to see what I can take now.

I've had no problems with sulfasalazine. I can pop them like Tic Tacs. Please make sure your sulfa has the letters "EC" on them. The "EC" is a special coating on the pills to protect your tummy. Good luck to you

I ask if they have the capsules kind and they don't make it in the US , I have the round tablets and it's G500 on it... I don't know what to take anymore I'm in so much pain😒 But I know I will find the right med, thanks so much

Your doctor/ pharmacy is lying to you. They did to me also. You have to get your doctor to prescribe Sulfasalazine EC before your pharmacy will give it to you. Both types of Sulfas are offered around the word. Sulfa is on the WHO list. (World Health Organization list of medicines)

Western Canada & Western USA did have a recall of Sulfasalazine EC back in November to January, but it is back on the shelves now. I wonder if you live in a small town and they aren't able to fill your order yet?

I had to take the sulfa G500 when they couldn't fill my order. It wreaked havoc on my stomach.

That's exactly how I'm filling super sick to my stomach, but I live in CA by San Francisco, and I did ask the pharmacy not my Doctor I think I need to call my Dr and ask her... so the ones I need to ask is the EC kind??
