Don't how anyone works at a job with this illness. Hard enough cooking and keeping the house clean.

That's so true. I had to retired by disability 25 yrs ago, had pulmonary embolism and deep thrombosis due to stress and no rest, which complicates all autoimmune cond.

If you're fortunate enough not to have to work, feel blessed. I've wondered how I do it sometimes myself. I have a great husband who will cook & clean for me if I can't do it. Often when I get home from work I hit my recliner & don't move until it's bedtime. Tonight I had to cook dinner because he worked late but then he cleaned everything up for me. Laundry waits until the weekend & dusting & other cleaning can wait until I have a better day or my husband can help.

Good morning Cats-kim. I've only joined this site about 2 months ago and it has definitely given me ideas, and helped me to cope with this. I've found it very difficult to explain things to others who have not experienced it. Though it is hereditary I am the only one in my family and I have often felt so very alone. Posting questions and getting and receiving support from here has definitely helped me. (Thanks Everyone!)

I am struggling with keeping my full-time job and dealing with the pain. I had to stop the medication that was working, since when I needed to increase the dosage, my system could not tolerated it. I've started something new about a month ago, but I'm not noticing any improvements yet.

Wishing you the quickest possible solution. In the meantime try, really try to remain positive, they will find something that will work for you!

Hoping today is one of your better days.

Take care, Karen

Thanks So Much Karen. I hope you find something hat works also. I don't take any true Pain medications, I've chose to use alternatives such as Cymbalta, Celebrex and steroids. There are times when I wonder if I've made the correct choice. The pain just makes a flare-up worsen. My stress level goes up, I can't sleep well, all of my symptoms worsen and seem to last longer. We just do the best we can. I'm determined to keep my job. I work for wonderful people and my boss has had Arthritis his entire life being diagnosed since early childhood, I'm starting to notice some things that I can't do, climb stairs, walk distances like a Zoo for instance. That scares me. Trying to stay positive. I feel too young for this. But RA doesn't discriminate. I'm 46 and my body feels like it's 70. Prayers for you. Take care and thanks for you're response, have a great weekend.
