Hi! My name is Kathy and I am new to this site but RA is an old part of my life. This is the 36th year since I was diagnosed. If I can help anyone with questions, I would be glad to. I have been on many medications.

I've been dx with many things but ra since feb 2008 and I've been thru a lot with it. My rheummy thinks I've had jra my whole life almost but was misdiagnosed. Gotta love all the fun with this monster disease called ra.

Welcome Kathy! I'm pretty new to having RA. I was dx about a year ago. I was wondering how much does medication/lifestyle/diet/holistic therapy make a difference in slowing down the disease for you? How are your joints, does the disease spread or stay in particular locations? How is your mobility? Did RA impact your vascular or nervous system? Thanks ahead for answering!

Hi Kathy, I too am pretty new to this site. I've had RA for over 8 years now. I've been basically just on Mtx and prednisone, but now need to switch to a biologic. I'll be starting Enbrel on Tuesday and feeling much anxiety about it. There are so many warnings on everything! It will be my first time doing a self injection as well. Not sure why that makes me nervous as I know it's just a simple needle stick (will be using the pen). Anything you can share or advise in regards to biologics and injections will definitely be appreciated. Thanks!
