Good morning everyone.

A nice sunny morning now the rain's stopped and it's Friday - the weekend starts here!

A bit quiet on here yesterday so I'm sure you've got lots to share with everybody today so chat away.

Morning Andi and everyone else, its a lovely sunny day here in Liverpool, all the slippy frost and ice has gone, lets hope it stays that way. Whatever the weather throws at us we can still enjoy the Seasons. Been watching the News all morning and waiting to see how the poor people in Japan are doing after another Earthquake, how much more can they take, God help them. Have a great smoke free day, and be happy.

My my, 'tis quiet here this morning

Claire has just popped back to the office after running a group and agrees with you Mad that it is quite sunny outside. I have a heater on under my desk though as I am absolutely freezing!

Are you having a 'rest day' from your exercise today Andi? My neck is slightly better but I'm still conscious of the 'pull' and can still feel it when turning my head completely right. Left turns only then.... still! See how I go earlier on into next week before I think about running

The weekend is upon us already again, we'll be 'Happy New Yearing' it to each other before we know it!

As we are now into the Christmas season, some of you may find that your favorite tipple may start to flow a tad more freely... Have you any planned strategies in place so as not to get caught out by those unexpected cravings? Remembering that this time last year the majority of you were smokers.

Please share your hints and tips with each other to ensure a smokefree festive season

Buenos Dias Emjay, no, am having tomorrow as my day off. I went out for a test run this morning and felt I did really well. I did half of week 1 then half of week 2 so am planning on starting week 3 again on Sunday. I hope to at least do week 3 before I go away. Have just got in from aqua (last one I'm doing this year) and I'm supposed to be meeting a friend for a bike ride this aft. It's still lovely and sunny out but there's a strong wind so not sure how far we'll go.

I was thinking about that yesterday EmJay about people succumbing to the cravings when they are under the influence or even saying, 'I'll just have one because it's Christmas'. Don't do it folks, be strong or you will only be trying to give up again as your New Year's resolution and you've all come so far and done so well.

Sorry I missed you all yesterday, well other than the Coat/Turkey discussion, I saw that I was being roped into started running on New Year's Day so kept my head down I wasn't having a power nap

Actually I found it difficult to get on here yesterday as my boss was lurking around then I went to do the last of my Christmas shopping then to see my mum. I was stuck in rush hour traffic going into town and I thought that I could just do with a ciggie, and that is when I would have had one in the past. I got through it though and the craving didn't last long and as far as I'm concerned that is just one more situation where my brain has now reprogrammed not to have one in a certain sitution.

I am hopeing to get a Kindle off Father Christmas this year but if I don't (might be on the naughty list) then I am going to buy myself one out of my no smoking savings then I can download some of the books that Mad has told us about, I really want to read the one on reincarnation.

It wasn't icy or frost this morning here, just wet and now the sun's out. I am going out shopping soon to get some new Christmas tree lights but I'll be back.

I hope your neck gets better soon EmJay then you can start running again ! I trust that you and Andi are planning on running on New Year's Day!

Whoops! Sorry Kazz, didn't think about the fruit. As for you running in the New Year, I think that was Emjay wasn't it? (hehe) With my track record (no pun intended ) I'm not planning anything in the running department further than the next one or two so can't comment yet on a New Year's Day run. A group of us do usually go for a walk and have bacon butties, Bucks Fizz and sparklers in the carpark after. (Camper van)

Anyway, you now have my full permission to hide for the afternoon if you want.

Oh my word Andi... you are a right live wire when it comes to all this exercising! I've never known somebody to be as energentic Your plans for New Year sound fab... Please don't tell me it's an original VW Camper as I will be completely envious! When is it that you are leaving to go away for Christmas?

Kazz, do you notice the money that you've saved by not smoking? Or do you find that you spend it on something else now... chocolates maybe?

Love the picture Andi... Do you remember the evening when everyone was hiding in the fridge... or the oven I think it actually was?!

Hi Em, VWs - I think one used to have a really old one but they're both more modern ones now. We have to choose carefully where we can go these days cos they keep putting height restrictors at all the car parks to keep the travellers out. We started this tradition at the millenium when we thought it would be a good idea to go and watch the sun rise on the new millenium (as that's about the latest the sun rises during the year - about 8am - after a really late night/early morning! )

Hiding? Yes - getting away from all those spears! Daft wasn't it.

I'll be off on the 17th and am coming back on the 30th. Christmas is never the same abroad but apart from cards and a couple of pressies I don't have to bother at all this year.

Hello girlies hope you are all ok. As far as all this exercising caper is concerned I am doing lots of breathing exercises, Then I should be ready for Monday. Got my letter today confirming my surgery date. Oh by the way got my hair sorted yesterday. When new year arrives I think I will be exercising in the house. its breathing and arm exercises for me.

Hi Jilly, hope that bra I found for you yesterday is keeping you warm and snug. Good pic for Pete, only thing is he doesn't have to move anything as it's intravenous - perhaps that would be better for you for the next couple of weeks before you can move your arms!

Hi Jillygirl wouldnt be to worried about exercising at the moment, you get yourself sorted and then you can do what you can, I,m sure your hair look,s good, have you thought about spiking it with a bit of Gel, really trendy at the moment. You can even add a bit if colour to the ends, take care and enjoy your weekend.

Jilly, I bet your hair looks great. I have short hair and my hairdresser gave me a no.4 round the edges last time and said it was all the fashion. I opened my eyes after that and the only ones with that kind of haircut were young men!

Couldnt get on last night, I was downloading some docu: off the Net and my Computer went on a go slow. I also hate Primark, your right it gets to busy. and packed to the raffters. I went a few weeks ago with my Daughter and G.Daughter, only went to get out the house as I hadnt been into town for 5 months, I was still on crutches and nearly wacked a few people, they push and shove and dont give a damn. I wont be going to the Jan, sales thats for sure. Have a nice day.
