I didn't feel sick with the minty ones, however the cherry flavoured ones, well they were awful! I use the Nicotinell lozengers, am on the 1mg ones now. They have a fresh minty taste, and don't seem as chalky as the 'minis'.

How long have you been having the minis, and what strength are they? I know I felt better when I got the 1.5 ones as the 4mg ones were too strong for me. I sort of mix and match the minis and lozengers.

Good luck!

Only started today and they are the 4mg was only sucking it for 1 minute and nearly threw up, I am also on the 16 hour nicorette 25mg patches as I tried to give up a couple of years ago and the patches made me dream some weird things lol so I wont be keeping it on to go bed, I also have an electronic ciggy which is helping quite a lot, bit worried about first thing in the morning as I will be craving pretty bad ( might get hubby to put one on while I am still asleep lol. I have heard the spray is good but they don't offer that one at our quit smoking clinic yet :( apparently they are too expensive.

Hi delina

I use the 4mg niQuitin minis. I don't feel sick with them but I did notice that if I suck them rather than just put them inside my cheek and leave it there to dissolve I can get hiccups and makes me want to burp or both. Also when I first started taking them it said you could take up to 15 a day so I was using about 10 I think caused me to have sleepless nights.

EmJay or Jarvo will be able to better advise you but my questions to you would be, how many are you taking? Are you sucking them instead of letting them dissolve? If you find that you carry on feeling sick them it might be worth trying another type of NRT, a lot of people seem to find the spray quite good. Also if you feel a bit sick, try taking the mini out of your mouth and have a sip of water and then put the mini back again.

I really like the niQuitin minis, they have really worked for me and are the best thing I have tried NRT wise up to now.

I tried patches, still have a box and a half left, they weren't for me. I too have tried the spray, got a full one and a half, I didn't rate that either (it was on offer when I bought it). I just use the lozengers, started off on 4mg ones. I have tried all brands, and the Nicotinell are the best flavoured.

I agree with Kazza, it's best to leave the mini to dissolve in the mouth. The lozengers can be sucked. I have a container of minis for emergencies now, am trying to ween myself off nicotine replacement, but some days I do seem to need more than others. But hey it's better to have an occasional lozenger or mini than to smoke!

Stick with it Delina! I'm sure that you'll find something that suits you!

I was leaving it at the side of my mouth to dissolve the weird thing is I had one first thing about 8-30 and it was fine, was drinking coffee at the time so maybe the water will help, I will give that a try, only had the two so far today but the second one I spat out, I even ran to the toilet as I really thought I was going to be sick but within 5 minutes the feeling had gone.
