Ask your doctor for a spirometry test. they will advise you if you need an inhaler to help with the airways.

Drink plenty of water and try the breathing exercises in the pinned posts.

Well done on achieving & months. :) xx

I also had a Chest Xray and a EKG yesterday that turned out normal, but I still suffer from shortness of breath like you. Everybody said to just give it time to get cleaned out, but in the meantime, I can't exersize like I use to, so I am going to a heart doctor to see if any of my arteries are clogged. Others on other smoking boards have said to also get a ct scan of your lungs and an arterial blood gas test. How long did you smoke? I've never seen a lung specialist, but maybe we should, to get a spirometry test like jilly said. Also, do not rule out allergy testing.

Wishing you the best. Get plenty of rest, healthy foods and lots of fluid. Preferably water and some citrus. Goldenseal is good for slowing and reversing infection. I'm on month 7 in a few days and now the tightness is starting. Something stops and then something starts!🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️. I'm getting a bit wore out of all this, never had these issues before quitting...but I'm happy to be smoke free...You'll be ok and back up and at it!!!

Congrats Arta, 7 months smokefree is brilliant🚭👍🏼
