travel to my birthplace, for 2 weeks, Slovakia
change my phone/internet provider...hence a digi detox till November the 5th, felt like Guy Faulks, would blow up the old, the grief they put me through
and new glasses waiting for me...
All in all good autumn.
Now back in Blighty and some more spend sortying out my furniture..still sacks everywhere. But slowly and surely getting there. Got half of xmas sorted, the xmas cards, just bits and bobs, here and there.

Not really. I am ataxian, true but find yourf site fascinating....If I can a good advice, more a MORAL SUPPORT, it crosses over. a problem is a problem, regardless.
You have been busy coat, sometimes I come home from food shopping and it takes me ages to put it all away!
I do love moving home, the feeling you get of having a total de clutter before you move, the excitement of packing, the anticipation of moving day, the wondering what the new neighbours are going to be like, that feeling of dread when you can’t remember what box/bag the kettle is in and then the whole “oh gawd I’ve got to unpack everything and find new homes for it all” oh happy happy days 🤔🤣
Just take one sack/box a day and you’ll soon be sorted 👍
The key tubby, is to list everything that you put in a box/bag and when complete, sellotape it firmly to the outside then add another large piece of paper saying what room it belongs to👍
All essentials like a kettle, a cup/dog bowl and food for both of you and a roll of toilet paper........you keep in a special bag so that you can unpack those first 👍
Awww!! That's so sweet! I do write on every box! Keep the cats in cages until last,keep Wiggles with me wherever I go! It's still a great up-heavel. Last time I was smoking 20 a day, at least that's a problem solved!

declutter is just right, putting down a carpet/lino annoying as the company fine with one, but taking their time with the other...and as all stands on it, cannot move on with the wardrobe, only arranging for it to fit it...all the waiting gets on my nerves as like to be in control. Now completely off it. and since July. Waiting for others.I like doing alll myself.but cannot lift heavy, can't fit the actual motion of screwing....ataxia. hardly buttoning the shirt.Not talking about the cost... Removals, to pay....I like paying for jobs....easier when one has from what....and arranging the Universal credit, negotiating with taxi drivers, to pick a new pair of glasses, just too many things at once...One thinG at a time, but life is not like that. AS IF?
thank god I am half way mobile. This property is much more suitable for my needs. Can actually walk out with my walker as no steps...NOT LIKE BEFORE.Don't get me wrong, very helpful neighbours, but I prefer the independence. I post my own mail, shop, cook, wash, iron. Do it all till I can. Then once cannot reconsider and perhaps move back home to Slovakia. My bro has the same, but milder form, he still can walk unaided...that is, if not remarried.One never knows what the future holds for any of us...Don't go moving at your age, too much hassle and cost...Hard work...
Dont I know it, my local council installed through floor lift from dining room up to box room, and laid a ramp from front gate to my side entrance, at no cost to me, why would I want to move? Xx
My old flat trickier...Cheaper to rehouse, then alteration, but had I been older, they wouldn't do it. Plus had happyu 18 years with my late Ian. Better to start again...Cannot live from memories ONLY. Must move on eventually.Better for me psychologically as well.
thanks. This new place is in a more impopverished area, but what people lack in money, at least have manners. A young woman of 30 with 4 kids on benefit,guiding them, interested, NOT like these stuck up mothers not interested in their kids...Fab neighbours 3 of them, and as my Ian used to volunteer for a chairman (still had tenants meeting 5 yuears ago, very useful) nothing now...Grt corner shop and the post office...all on first name terms, fantastic. There is rubble, but nowhere near me...Happier days ahead, I hope!
