I'm less than 6 days shy of my 8 month smoke free anniversary. Still struggling with some anxiety (I quit cold turkey), but still feel like the quit was totally worth it.

Just wanted to hop on real quick (as I was in the anxiety support forum) and say: if I can do it, YOU CAN DO IT!

Don't let nicotine run your life anymore if you're a smoker, that's exactly what's happening. I cringe at the thought of all the time and money I lost to smoking.

Best wishes!

I had a real eye opener when my mom had a major stroke at just the age of 57. My dad had a life altering stroke a few years before. Both were heavy smokers...lifetime smokers. I just hope I didn't damage myself too bad when I was smoking.

Sometimes I wonder how those things are even legal.

Awesome to anyone who is putting time here. It means you care about yourself and others. I smoked for over 20 years. 2 months cigarette free. Feel amazing. Cold turkey is really the only way.

Hi Rosiemarie

Well done 8 months 😁

I remember the horrible anxiety when I quit and the same as you I did cold turkey. The quit is sooooo worth it and you won’t believe how quickly that 8 months turns into years.

Well done you 👍
