As always a warm welcome to any new members who are dropping by.
So, I was trying to think of something different to write, looking for inspiration from somewhere, the lap-top is off line, because the phone which tethers it is in the kitchen re-charging. I flicked through the photos and found this. It was posted not too long ago by one of our members, Bonnielala. I found that it has a truly calming effect if you read it slowly. All too often when I read posts from members in difficulty, I get the impression that they are in such a hurry that they can no longer isolate the problems and tackle them one at a time. Quitting takes time and patience. It just can’t be hurried.
What a very apt verse that is tubbs,for this community,and your right of course, so I went back to read it slowly, and the Midge Ure song to go with it!

After a beautiful sunny and warm day yesterday I woke up to heavy rain this morning. Regardless though I have to go out and pick some chillies then decide what food to put them in.
Bonnielala’s thought provoking observations do indeed have a calming effect. For me it’s taking a deep breath and getting things in perspective. In the early days of quitting this helped as it calmed down the panics and it is still relevant now.
I hope you get to see your doctor Jilly. You don’t want to go into the weekend in pain.
Good morning Twinnie Sue. I've just got back from shopping for the furries😸😻. Special offers on what they like. Now I've still got 2 trips to get it out of the car. It's already 29° so I might well melt in the attempt.🙄🙄🙄😋XXX

I think we try to hurry coz we want everything out the way, withdrawals gone and our health to be perfect! Life just isn’t like that and I have no patience whatsoever !

Managed to stay warm today, hubby took a group up to the snow. He reckons it was the scariest drive he has done for a few years.
Bit of a sad day for me. One of my best friends from my teenage years has been diagnosed with small cell cancer and was initially given months to live which has since been reduced to weeks. I am off home to say my goodbye to her as her hubby contacted me and told me she wants to see me before she passes. Off home tomorrow for a few days.
