Shortness of breath update

Went and had xrays taken yesterday. Doctor relieved me of worry. Says sounds like an upper respiratory infection and has prescribed antibiotics and an expectorant.

Started them yesterday and am already bringing up some gross looking phlegm. Starting the course

Thanks Rhinette they are helping. Usually when I wake up is when I feel the most congested.

Thanks for post. I've been bringing up phlegm(with a tad of blood once too). It's slowly dawned a course of antibiotics may have been necessary..but it seems to be improving, think I'll book an appointment just to be thorough though. Identification really helped.

I don't blame you. Funny thing my cough isn't bad. When I made my first effort to quit about seven months ago. I experienced what I call the full Monty shortness of breath, anxiety, mood swings, tickling throat with cough and dark mucosa. This time no anxiety, cough mostly in the morning as I was I awaken. Sleep pattern is still weird but believe it will only get better.
