Exercising on hold, broken wrist

Well started the new year off with a bang . Playing badminton with the hubby when managed to take a tumble and break my wrist.

Manipulation yesterday to realign the bones. Waiting for a call to see if they can squeeze me in this morning to get some pins fitted. Was due to fly to Goa next Saturday, not sure that will be possible now but I live in hope

Will be out of action for a bit and then it will be slowly does it , not good at typing with my left hand.

On a plus having a cig never entered my head. 4 months smoke free on Tuesday.

Not to happy bunny today .

Xx

Hi Modes - oh man so sorry to hear that hun :(. Hope you get it sorted pronto. Was just thinking - would the travel company change the date of your trip to Goa because of this - think they can and do so in certain cases. You might have to pay an "admin fee" but would be so worth it. Wish you a VERY speedy recovery and well done on your 4 month Quit - you are a SHINING STAR! :) x

Bad luck modes 🙁 but four months smoke free is brilliant, well done 👏👏👏👏 these accidents always happen at the wrong time...... you give it a Goa girl, or try to change the date( get a letter from the doctor as proof) with his inked stamp on it...... I wish you well my lovely.

your smoking wrist? If so see it as a boost to not smoking. While I was at fracture clinic (ankle) several others were talking about planned holidays. From what I heard, I don't think your fracture will prevent you from flying but it will certainly restrict the holiday in other ways. On the plus side, fractures in smokers take longer to heal so now you are a non-smoker yours will heal more quickly. Hope you are not suffering too much pain.

Sorry to hear that Modes and fingers crossed you get fixed up and can fly next week. Huge congrats for nearly 4 months smokefree and of course that means faster healing now, brilliant💐😊x

Aww modes that must have been painful hope it's sorted very soon ☺x

Badminton is such a gangsta sport! You are probably the first person in the history of it to be injured!! (grinning outloud) All kidding aside, that's pretty fab you're giving it that much effort. High five on your progress!!!! (oopsie, pulling my right hand down & raising left)
