Pizza now what?

I had pizza and soda and seriously craved a cigarette after. My friend whom I've known forever came over (she smokes) I literally began to clamor!!! I wanted to ask her for a cigarette but I didn't!! I'm so scared. What if I'm never normal again?

Wow I think given you have only been quit 7 days you managed that brilliantly . I wouldn't look to far into the future as you will place to much pressure on yourself. One day at a time . Keep it up, your confidence will increase and this will begin to feel way better. You are doing great xx

I'm usually craving during the meal already, during every meal that is. It's perfectly normal and will get weaker and pass eventually. I've been througj all of it before. It's just a feeling, your mind is 100x stronger, I know.

How did you get through it? Meal time is a trigger for me.

I'm not sure it's the best advice, but for the first 10 days I was either eating constantly or doing exercise. Chewing gum after a meal also worked surprisingly well. However, I think the smartest thing would be to just do nothing and teach your body that it just doesnt need anything. But as I said..in the first few days I just thought 'Screw it..' and ate whatever I liked all day.

Lol. I did that last night. I just don't want to gain weight. That's why I walk for hours and hours.

I know I must have gained a few kilos already, but nothing which I cant even out later. I just have to be careful that I dont teach my body this new expectation now :)

Thank you.

Hi I am 6 weeks quit and still craving! I think it is getting a bit better though. You have only been stopped 1 week and it will take a bit longer than that.

It's great advice not to look too far into the future. Just concentrate on the challenge on getting through each hour, each day and before you know it the weeks will be stacking up as a non smoker. You are doing great. xx

The money saving factor is def exciting. I was smoking 4 cartons per month!! Where I live cigarettes went up to nearly $10 per pack!! When I first started they were $2.50 per pack!! Can you imagine how insane this addiction really is?

You are doing remarkably well at just one week. Just do whatever you need to not to smoke. It will be so worth it. Stay Strong, you can do it.

Hi Elle when I used to smoke the one cig after eating was my favorite ,specially when I had a big meal

Most of us did liked that but we didn’t realized smoking after eating is very dangerous for the throat and stomach 😒

Then when I quit I was eating small portions many times a day instead of big meals it worked for me and thats how I trained my mind to the new routine ..Im slowly back to eat normal again 👌

Elle the good news is that very soon you are going to get so used to it , you are going to love it and you will never smoke ever again ! 👍
