Hey bunny85! Stop right there! You CAN do this! A pack of fags never helped any situation so take a few deep breaths, make yourself some tea and toast and sort out getting some help this morning. Now that could be a nhs stop smoking helpline, a visit to the chemist for some different NRT, anything in fact to help you through this particular Sunday without reaching for a fag. Sort it girl! I know you can do this! 🤓x

A week so far is brilliant , cold turkey is also one of the hardest ways to stop , but well worth it.

Break the day down and take an hour at a time , if your kids are old enough all wrap up and go for a walk, this will help all of you, something I done a lot in the beginning.

There is a post of breathing exercises also do that when you can feel the tears and panic honestly helps.

Honestly a week of cold turkey is bloody fantastic your doing really well even if it doesn't feel like it 😘😀😀

O bunny, wish I was there to help.... it's the hardest thing we have ever decided to do....

Don't be hard on yourself.... sometimes in life shit happens....

If the cigs win don't give up.... think okay what more can I do to help myself....

You can do it.... when your ready...

Big hugs and no matter what way today goes remember your amazing... just for having a go.

Xx

You can do this!. My children and partner got a very moody Mum for a while!, I came through and am stronger for it.

You are doing so well!. I totally feel your pain bunny, having the family to look after can be really overwhelming when you're going through withdrawal. I took myself off for a brisk walk around the block, nowhere near a shop😬, just to have some time and space for me and my anger!!!.

We're rooting for you!. 💪💪💪🚭🚭

Hey Bunny,

I went cold turkey as well and I was pretty physically sick in the first month and I honestly believed I couldn't cope without cigarettes. How about some nicotine replacement gum or spray etc. It will ease your withdrawal . Any things better than inhaling 4000 chemicals into our bodies

Write your reason down why you quit and maybe take a quick walk to get some you time.

Hang in there xx

Bunny,

I saw this on another post from 4 year ago. I hope it helps!

Instead of using it for a good nights rest try using it for stress relief and to help with your cravings

Breathing Exercise (3)To help slow a busy mind down and help with a good nights rest

Before you try going to sleep, think about your day, and try and clear your mind. Is anything worrying you? If so think about whether or not you can do anything about it. Focus on all the positive things that have gone well for you, how good you feel about them or the things that have happened during your day. Any negative thoughts you may have collect them all together and have them ready to leave your body.

Once you have done this, close your eyes and focus on your breathing.

Breathe in and out a few times, in your own time

Next, take in a nice, long, slow, deep breath through your nose

Breathe out a nice long sigh through your mouth

Repeat this 3 -4 times

As you feel yourself ready to relax, shrug your shoulders up towards your ears and then let them drop

Focus again on your breathing, now think of the number 10 as you breathe in

As you breathe out, see the number 10 leave your mind.

Feeling any tension leaving your body as you do this.

Next, breathe in nice and slowly as you think of number 9

As number 9 leaves your mind, breathe out slowly.

As you breathe in, see the number 8

Imagine every bit of worry within you being caught up in your breath and being pushed out

as you see the number 8 leaving your body,

taking everything that concerns you away.

Continue to focus on your breathing

Imagining with each breath in, you are gathering up every bit of tension from every part of your body.

Every breath out takes all this tension away.

As you see the number 7 enter your mind,

feel the activity within your head and thoughts starting to slow right down

breathing in and then out, feeling more and more relaxed each time as the numbers leave your mind.

Your breathing should now be nice and slow, your heart and pulse will be more relaxed and your mind will feel so at eased.

As you slowly count your way down the numbers, you should be feeling ever so relaxed and the days worries and stresses should be as far away from your mind as possible.

The more you practice this breathing exercise, the easier it should become everytime ? :) :)
