Hello everyone, hope all is well..

Just wanted to pop on and see what's happening and to offer an update...Anyone that has met me on here - I didn't drop off!

So. I still haven'smoked. And I feel pretty good - no real cravings I can't control. They are less frequent but more from memory rather than urge...if that makes sense.

I went through what was called "Quitters Flu"? Ugh - 48 hours of feeling like doo-doo...and it was as though no remedy would help...just had to go through it.

I have started a diet - for many reason, cleanse/detox, health, vanity, get back what I lost...you name it, it's all there.

Did a run for the first time today as I felt it would be a good test on the lungs. Lungs were not ready! But I pushed anyway. It was only 20 minutes, can't believe I use to do the Insanity program for nearly and hour of brutal butt kicking! So lungs reminded me that I smoked, but also reinforced my quitting. ;-)

Invoked a cough, but good - let's get it out!

Here are my stats as of today:

252 cigarettes not smoked

$131.10 saved

403 hours smoke free (16 days - feels like a month...)

100 hours of life regained

Circulation rejuvenation worth reporting at 20%

Take care everyone!

Thank you for the comment! Anything ugly quitting throws at me, I'm throwing it right back! I see it completely as the uglier it gets, the more reason to quit. Nothing should have this much control. Xx

Well done xxriss on your 16 days quit certainly stats that others will take on board they will be on their calculators now :-) would be interesting to see stats from others because I have looked at mine and thought wow what an incentive to keep me motivated. Keep going your lungs will improve overtime I am planning to start a fitness regime very shortly well when I can get my idle butt off the settee that is :-)

Yes the stats are great, if you can post them I'd love to see. Great motivational piece :) I was idle for so long so I get it! If I could add a little to my experience... Since quitting, although I have a ways to go... I have been enjoying the changes, one of which Is taking in fresh air... So being able to inhale it In mounds was incentive to get out there ;-) reminded me of the good old days felt like a kid again! (Well, a rather tall one that could stand to lose the weight of an entire 6 year old...)

Pretty awesome. Good. For. You!!! Those are great stats!! Do you get to see how many hours of life you've gained back? Feels great, doesn't it? What have you noticed since not smoking? And, how long/much were you smoking when you decided to quit?

in reply to Xxriss

Just worked them out on smoking approx 14 cigarettes a day. I smoked for 31 years and at the moment the main thing I have noticed is smell and taste. I really seem to be able to taste food :-) although that may not be a good thing as I may start eating everything in sight :-D I don't know how to get the info for hours of life saved.
