Hiya kingfisher and welcome to quit support 😊

Congratulations on nearly 3 weeks quit, great achievement so well done to you👍🏼

In the early weeks of quitting it's very common to get flu like symptoms which seems to be what you're experiencing 😩 the good news is they will pass and your body will start to adjust to not smoking. As your body starts to heal, it can throw up all sorts of side effects initially. Have a good look around the site and you can read symptoms of recovery, listed on the right of this page. Be patient and give yourself a chance to recover from the bad effects of smoking. Our motto is NOPE not one puff ever and you will have a healthier future. It's a bit of a roller coaster on the quit journey but hang on tight, stay focused and it will all be worth it😊x

Hi kingfisher and welcome to quit support.

Well done on being almost 3 weeks smoke free, you should be feeling very proud.

There are lots of side effects from quitting as your body adjusts to being smoke free. cold like symptoms are very common

I am not sure about the sneezing, maybe its a reaction to the patches. Not using them myself, i am not sure of the side effects of them. For your own peace of mind, maybe a visit to your GP.

can you let us know your quit date so we can add you to our wall of winners :) :)

All the very best of luck on your quit journey, and if you have any questions just ask away :) :)

Hello Kingfisher, Congrats on 3 weeks quit smoking :-)

I have experienced bouts of sneezing and a runny nose, and still get them on occasions, I'm sure it's all to do with the fact our noses are clearer now we have quit, so we are more sensitive to smells and scents that we inhale.

Try some steam inhalation, I do it on occasions.

Keep up that great quit the cigaretts, Stay strong. :-)
