3 weeks tommorrow smoke free : Hi everyone... - Quit Support
Well done Leanne, your doing well.
Hiya Leanne, congratulations on your 3 week quit, you're doing great
New job and first few weeks of quitting is a lot to cope with so don't worry about being snappy, it's very common. I used to snap at hubby in the early days but don't know what excuse I have now I'm looking forward to seeing your lovely new badge tomorrow. Hang in there coz it really does get easier and it's worth it. There are highs and lows to this quitting malarkey you should be very proud of yourself x
Awwww Thankyou briarwood lol u will have to tell him u got pms all year lol. Feel like I've got bipolar or something an my partner gets cob on with me he forgets what it's like as he quit 5 years ago an 3 weeks is nothing compared to your 10 month quit lol x 😃
I'll tell that to hubby alright
Men have short memories though so your fella can't remember how flippin hard it is I was where you are now and you will get to where I am coz every day is a step in the right direction. I remember coming on here at 1 week quit and being encouraged by others and wondering how on earth I would ever manage to do what they had. Well truth is I wouldn't have if it wasn't for them. The people on here make a huge difference and you will as well. We know what a struggle it is and together we get there one day at a time x
You know what hun your so right this group is fab im so glad I joined I would recommend it to anyone who wants to quit or has :-). And your right about the men I try to explain but it's like talking to the wall maybe that's a man thing ha x
WOOHOO!!!!!..3 weeks quit is fantastic Leanne, these early weeks are pretty tough on their own without commencing a new job. Give your self a pat on the back as you are doing really well. Quitting can be an emotional roller coaster in those early weeks but it does get better
Keep up the great quit Leanne
Awww thank you glolin and tell me about it an it's not easy my job but it keeps my mind busy and I'm not using my quick must ask much through our the day now too so hopefully that's a good thing I still have my patch on too. Such a relief that does get better too be honest I am finding the cravings easier to handle i will be were u are soon enough im determined ha x
Hi Leanne, fantastic three weeks the grumps are normal around now so don't worry too much. I'm sure my hubby thought I'd had a personality transplant or something! You're doing a great job at quitting so be really proud of every single day you stay smoke free.
In September last year I did a 26 mile hike to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society, maybe, given your job, you could sign up for something like that? I found training for it really took my mind off of everything
Keep going however you do it though as you are doing just great
Aup Leanne, a BIG SUUUUUUUPER DOOOOOOPER DOOOOOO to ya gal and as you can see, you got a suuuper doooper new shiny 3 weeks Winners badge tooooo and I catched it for ya with my own hands see soooo, all you have to do now is go and treat yourself and be proud of your achievements
I hope your new job is going fine and your getting used to it now
congrats on on my 3rd week now very hard but im so determined
Know how you feel jazz jazz but your doing fab we can help each other lol it does get but easier each day x
Well done Leanne. The one thing you are not going to miss is standing outside, or trying to get out for 2 minutes to get a 2 minute buzz that you will have to do again in an hour. I started feeling guilty because my relatives and friends clearly didn't like me smelling of smoke, I didn't like me smelling of smoke.
I had to give this annoying habit up, it controlled me, even if I couldn't afford it, or it was chucking down with rain, or I dint actually like the taste, I would force myself. I keep this in my mind every time I get stressed and think "a cigarette will put this right". No it wont.
I was a little sh** for two weeks now at week 6 and Im feeling so much better and so so so much happier.
Thank you Jim and your right I don't miss standing outside in all sorts of weather lol. And deffo don't miss stinking of smoke Im not gonna lie I still feel like one when I see people smoking but that's it really just hate being snappy at slightest thing x
Thank you. Its seems that week 4 to 5 that you really start to think I don't need to do that when you see people smoking. So hang on in there.
For the first two weeks I used to follow people who were smoking down the road!
