Why would you ever want to start again? If you have a cigarette, it won't taste good, it won't make you feel good, it'll probably make you feel a bit sick. You would need to smoke a few cigarettes and re-start your addiction before you feel like you get any benefit from it - and even then, you'll be kidding yourself because the benefit will only be to calm the nicotine addiction. You won't feel any better than you do now - only you'll literally be burning money to feel okay.

In the past, I've kidded myself back into smoking again - "Hey, I could have a cigar, that won't hurt" or similar. Yes, the thought of never smoking again can be a bit frightening but what you should be frightened of is the thought of getting addicted to that pointless chemical habit again.

NOPE - Not One Puff Ever.

congratulations kronoskeylock from making the decision to quit and especially cold turkey.

I too quit cold turkey 4 months ago. Quitting is the best decision you can make for your own health and wellbeing. I myself try and look forward and not in the past of what used to be. I am no longer a smoker and look forward to a healthier future.

All the very best of luck with your own quit journey :)

Hi there, well done on the almost 4 weeks - loads of admiration for that!! By now the nicotine is truly out of your system. Don't ever think its is forever - we only have to do it for one day at a time. We can only live today, as long as you don't take one puff, even if its for the next five mins and then the next 5 mins. Do you really want to go through all that cold turkey again?? Plan stuff that you don't normally do, so the psychological habit doesn't kick in eg the reward for this, the calmer before that etc etc. You are doing great!! No more having to sneak out for one, no more standing in the rain and snow to get the fix. No more smelly clothes etc etc The best is yet to come!! Vee x
