If you check my earliest post (shouldn't be too hard, there's only 3 including this one.) you can read about the shape I was in just a short while back when I first quit smoking. I'd quit during a lung infection which is aparently doubley hard on the lungs and the darned things seized up on me. Chest wall pain, Lung pain, Chest constriction that had me feeling like god had me in a bear hug at worst, and at best I felt like I had a 25 lb plate hanging off my chest.

This clip here is of my at the end of my daily 16 block walk, 2 laps of an 8 block long track I've picked out in my neightbourhood. I've not missed a single day of it no matter what shape I felt like. If it was a bad day, I just took it slower. In the last week almost all of my symptoms have disapeared and I'd say I'm about 80% better. No chest constriction anymore, just a small weightiness of the chest and even that only on occaision. I expect to be 100% in 10-14 days.

I say in the clip "Kicking COPD's arse" let me mention here that I do NOT have COPD. I mention it because I was just tested for COPD and do NOT have it thank god. I've seen 3 doctors, my family GP, the ER doc who is a GP and an ER specialist and he sent me to the PULM clinic just last Wed. I've also had 2 XRAYs which are fine. My heart is A1 A OK and they know and ok me running up hills so no worries.

So, to set up the clip this is the last bit of my 16 block jaunt which I've jogged a block, walked a block, jogged a block not wanting to push it much yet. This hill of which I've speed walked 2 of the 4 blocks already is actually block ends so I only actually count the 4 blocks as 2 because they're short. Enjoy

That......was......awesome! Wow and double wow.

I've been back and by my reckoning you are on about 6 or 7 weeks of totally stopping smoking is that correct? Well you have literally taken great strides since you stopped! Given what you have been through your breathing sounded amazing!

Well done you, and you do sound happy as you should be! It's fantastic, I'm so happy for you :) :) :)
