Trial run at smoke free today.

Just thought i would let you all know that today i am having a trial run at being smoke free.

My quit date is Feb 1st. But since vaping i have lost alot of interest in real smokes.... to the point where i actually put a pack through the washing machine!! now normally i would know exactly where my filthy little friends where! But never crossed my mind, and off they went for a quick 40 degree cycle...oh for the record, it stains your cream polo neck an interesting tie dye kind of effect lol!

So as i have lost interest in the real thing, and my full on quit date is approaching i thought, i will simply just not take my fags with me to work, and see how it goes, and so far so good, not even vaped yet!( i have been up since 5am).Going to note down when the pangs get me and hopefully this will help me better plan my days as from the 1st.

Sounds like a good and decent plan Missus :-)

See how you go and when you do get them pangs, really, really scrutinise them and ask them what they are all about. It pays off to try and understand them. Then, if you do decide that enough is enough and you really feel the need for your e-cig - notice at which point that awful feeling / pang disappears.

I'm really excited for you :-)

Thanks Emjay,

Just starting to feel a bit of a craving now, but luckily in my office so nothing i can do about it, so going to go and wash my hands and have a glass of water. I am on half a day at work today so it will be interesting to see how i get on at home. But it has highlighted that i do not need my 10am smoke break, which i just take as habit, as its an hour and 45 mins later and only just getting that gripping panging feeling in my throat. So this a positive thing, so will just drop that 10am thing altogether next week.

Funny when you actually stop and analyse your smoking habits and actually write it down, it all looks a bit sad and crazy. I wrote "10am - not going for fag break...dont need it, hmmm wonder why i always like a robot got up out of my chair and walked the distance to the smoking area, in all weathers, and truth is.......i don't know"

Thanks for all the support really appreciate it

x.

You can do this!

To help chart cravings, I found a brilliant app called Quit Pro. You tap it when you have a craving and you choose from simple options about where and why. It gives you a nice timeline and works out patterns

That sounds good, I might try that to try to get off lozenges and ecig. Is the app available for Androids
