Was on the patch for 2 weeks and used the spray with it. Came off the patch and used lozenges for another 2 weeks. It was amazingly easy as far as cravings go and I haven’t looked back. I’ve been a pack a day smoker for 50 years and never dreamt it would be this painless. Some of the other withdrawal symptoms have been a little more challenging such as the wacky dreams that lasted about 5 weeks, the unbelievable fatigue, the upset stomach and some upper respiratory issues. However, I am approaching week 10 and have to say it was definitely well worth the little bit of discomfort.

I decided to give up smoking on Saturday 11th February 2017 after smoking for over 50 years the next day I had a heart attack Trust me that was the best insensitive never to smoke again. To this day I don't miss it at all

Used them both in the beginning, now just down to the lowest patch that I will be giving up next week when I go on holiday

Finding Champix really does help the withdrawal.

Had a heart attack 3 weeks ago, that did it, have not had a cigarette since, am doing it cold turkey. Will get a craving now and again, but it passes, smoked a pack a day, sometimes more for 46 years.

I tried every therapy you can imagine from 1983 to when I gave up in 2004 and ended up tapering off from 40 year old habit of 40-60 cigs a day to one a day for months. I also smoked pipes and cigars. Today I wonder why I ever smoked and hate the addiction and the smell and the dreadful consequences like my emphysema and COPD. I was a prisoner to the addiction. Now I am free.

I quit just over 1 1/2 years ago with the help of patches, a nicotine free ecig for when I missed the action of smoking (like when I was having a drink) and lozenges for the early days when I felt like I needed an extra boost. Best thing I ever did. I tried and failed many times on patches alone and last time I was determined not to fail! Good luck everyone!

Cold turkey because I'd already been quit for a fortnight before I found this site and all the information about how to quit etc.

I reckoned I'd been through the worst, and I did it alone.

If I ever have to do it again (heavens forbid) I'd try vaping.

Champix for 2 weeks then cold turkey and never looking back after 25 years of smoking. Wish I'd never picked up the habit in the first place. My only gripe is the nightmares they're so vivid very frightening and sometimes violent they make me not want to go back to sleep. But must soldier on.
