I have less anxiety about my future health since I quit smoking. We are taking a risk every time we inhale a cigarette. All these poisons and carcinogens. I feared COPD and throat cancer . I’m so grateful I was able to quit again after 18 months smokefree and a relapse . That’s addiction

We can do this !!! I’ll never stop trying !!!

I cannot find enough words to describe the benefits of no longer smoking. And greater than anything I am free of the addiction so long as I do not smoke a cigarette again. I smoked for 40 years and stopped 13 years ago.

I quit for 5

Years once, had a relapse 2 years ago. I have severe COPD. I just got out of the hospital & first thing I did was smoke a cig. I hate myself at times. It is such a vile addiction.

I did the same thing practically. Quit for 5 years, but picked it back up when separated from spouse. If I had stayed quit, I'd have 10 smoke free years under my belt. It truly is an insidious addiction, and can creep back in once you've been lured by nicotine.

I'm sure I have got more money, but it doesn't seem that way so I don't know where it's going! Don't feel any better for giving up though 😢

Hmmm79......forget about the money side of things, thats not important.....improving your health affects different people in different ways.... but I can tell you....you will eventually feel better....persevere and believe in yourself!

Good morning Veteran☕️☕️

No.....money is not my motivator . Fear of becoming sick from smoking keeps me from lighting up. I have less anxiety knowing my body is healing .

Hope your day is a good one💕

Thank you Don, that's lovely 😊 And you're right x and agree, Arizona, it was the fear that made me stop, it's a very powerful motivator!

Hi Jilly, its amazing how many things improve when you quit smoking, maybe you should list all of them on the community page, ask members to write them down, and read often. 👍😀Xx
