I quit over 2 years ago with ecigs but it wasn't in October. I switched almost 2 years 6 months ago and stopped smoking completely in December 2 years ago. Until this year I walked around in town with a lit cigarette even when I'd stopped smoking, in October. Now I support Switchtober and walk around with a very noticeable ecig in the hope that smokers ask me about it and stop smoking in the same way.
Yes this is true. We use the tank and mod. They look silly but several people ask. The key is to let people know smoking them is a bit different. You cannot expect it to taste like a cig because it isnt. and they try to hit it like a cig and wind up gagging. It takes practice just like It did when they started smoking. I too would smoke everywhere. When I would drive 2hrs each way to work, got to a point I would smoke almost a pack just each way! Started adding up, but I didn't care because I was making good money. I would run into a store, Have a cig, come out have a cig. Stop in traffic, light another terrible!! I would get into working or fixing something a find myself chain smoking. Now I just vape :)... and unlike smoking, when you over vape you defiantly know it
Edit: also might be worth adding, if you are thinking of trying E-Cig for the first time, avoid getting those advertised Cloud beast or cloud makers. These work on sub ohm and require alot of power. For a beginner they usually push too much and make the experience terrible. My wife still to this day cannot use them, but likes the lower watt tanks like the aspire natulus, or similar
