Pneumonia is back

Hi all,well as i suspected the pneumonia that dad suffered in december is back,bein treated at home with iv antibiotics at the moment. Trying our best 2 keep him out of hospital. Bringing up blood this time (lining of the lung apparently). Another roller coaster week ahead it seems.x

I am sorry to hear this. Unfortunately this is how many pass away. All I can say is that the only way to prevent this is to try to thicken drinks more and not give them any thin liquids or foods of a thin consistancy.

Hello,yeah thats what worries me,dad been peg fed for 3 years,the last episode was because of a sickness bug and its left a weakness now. Its like an emotional roller coaster isnt it. Have prepared myself for the worst a few times the last few months. I dont think i can cope with the inevitable if im honest.

we are all here for you and wishing you strength. It's so hard. I want to get inside mum's head to understand what she is thinking but am also afraid of what I would find out. It must be untold misery for her but she still tries to get better and never gives up. Bless them all.xx
