Mum's battle is over

Just want to update you all. Mum went home to be with dad on Sat 1 December. She had battled very hard against the PSP but she was just so weak that she could not fight any more. In some ways it is a relief that she has to suffer no more pain but I have lost my mum and my best friend. My heart is breaking !!

Heaven has got another angel and they are really lucky to have her. Night night mum xo

I am so sorry to hear this loss of your mother. I too lost my dad 1 month ago

My heart goes out to you but at least she's in peace no more suffering.

God takes the good people. All you can do is now pray and remember all the good times you had. It will take time for this greivance process, as I am still grieving too and it's all a matter of time. Take care of yourself

Losing a parent is really tough, losing a parent to this dreadful disease is even tougher.Seeing your beloved parent suffering is heartbreaking.my dad passed away on 1st october this year 4 days before his 69th birthday. He had psp in the last stages for 18 months and incrediably poorly, but had the disease for 15 years. I miss my dad dreadfully but im glad he is not suffering.

Jac im so sorry that you have lost your mum try to remember the good happy times that you had with her,it will take time.Love to every one that s lost a parent to this dreadful disease kind regards Toty xx

Despite the awful predictability of it, you will be in shock for a while yet. Look after yourself.

My heart goes out to you as one who is currently in the PSP struggle with a wife. Having lost my first wife to another terrible brain disease (Cruetzfelt-Jacob) I can tell you that time will heal the loss. Having said that you will still have moments of remembering the loss and saddness as you move forward. The process is slow and you may thing you'll never recover but you will. God bless.

Hi Jac....so sorry you have lost the Mum you obviously love so much. It is a relief for both your Mum & those she's left behind as you know there is no more suffering. My husband Frank left us in April this year & although I miss him terribly, I know he's in a far better place now. That thought helps tremendously as I try to get on with life. My thoughts are with you. Take care & one day you will smile again. Love Hazel B xx
