“This is an important study, confirming the prognostic importance of Tau for disease progression, and the value of Tau PET scanning. For PSP research, we must remember that the PSP-Tau ‘junk protein’ is not the same as the Alzheimer-Tau, and additional research focused on Tau in PSP & CBD is essential. The long term outcome of the PSPA funded “MAPT-PSP” study with Tau PET in Cambridge is eagerly awaited” Professor James Rowe
