Thanks, Jillann!

First, Thanks to Jillann for liking a reply I'd made to a post called:

Message from Peter Jones.

It made me look. Thank you, Jillann!

I so enjoyed going back and reading the post and the remarks. (Featuring Heady and Katiebow and NannaB and many more.) For anyone who wasn't here while our pal from Queensland Peter Jones (so-called) was writing, I heartily recommend that you look up his posts and other contributions. He was hilarious and large-hearted and courageous, and loved by one and all. He was a fabulous story-teller, and made us all laugh with his adventures. He had PSP, but never stopped communicating and kept on going out and about, despite many nearly catastrophic falls, which were always fodder for some funny story. (Although I really felt for his missus.)

I always read his posts and messages to my sweetheart; they cheered us up more times than I could count.

I miss our beloved Mr. Jones still.

So, everyone, do look in the archives for his stories. I guarantee, you will smile.

Love and hugs, Jillann. You made me smile, too.

Peace to all,

Ec

Hi EC

So true. He was also really good at sorting out the myths and the truths of it all as well.

I was a 'reader' back in those days.

A great soul.

Thanks for reminding me.

Also waiving to JillAnne :)

Hi EC, how do I get this post up from Peter Jones? My search doesn’t seem to be getting it. We all miss him, he could always make me laugh at the most awful moments of my life and could turn my rants and raves in to something funny.

How’s your Mum?

Lots of love

Anne

Hi, Anne. My mother is hanging in there, but time is running out. We canned peaches last weekend. She's such a trouper.

Oh yes EC. Dear old Peter Jones could always make us laugh. He private messaged Colin often and always ended his message by saying “Thumbs up mate” to which my darling would raise his thumbs. So many lovely people have left us but are still here in other ways.

I agree Bev.

He was always so positive. He encouraged me to be less protective with Chris. He always referred to him as mate. Chris was encouraged by him.

He was a hero. I was so impressed by him going off in his caravan. That is if I understood him ?

Such a character was Peter, he was well down the line with his disease when I first joined this forum and always made me laugh, not an easy thing in the face of PSP. I will now look back on some of his posts, thanks for reminding us. Also like to say hello to Jill 👋.

Yes Sarah, I was one who came across "Peter" by chance when surfing through the archives, and his character, humour, compassion and liveliness was so real 🌟. When I got to the post that confirmed his death I was heartbroken!

It just shows how important our communication here is, and how it's one of the ways we 'live on'.

Here's to Mr. Jones and all of our brave patient-members: God bless you all ❤️❤️❤️
