Hi Yvonne, welcome.

Don't remember this topic has come up before. Think there would have been a response already if someone has experienced kidney failure with their loved one.

How long has your dad suffered with PSP? It must be very distressing for you to watch your dad go through this as well. I hope there is some help available for his condition and to improve his quality of life!

Hugs

My father isn't in kidney failure, however, test show his kidneys are not functioning properly. We noticed lack wet briefs and pads a few weeks ago after a run in with pneumonia. They say his lungs are now clear (although he still coughs non-stop) He continues to have issues with urinating, going day or two with nothing then suddenly large amounts of wetness. Not sure if this is part of PSP or just part of "end of life". Per our hospice nurse the end is close as he is declining rapidly. She believes is will be within a month however she also says she cannot know for sure as the end could be 6 days, 6 weeks, or 6 months. Every night I pray dad falls asleep and simple does not wake, passing peacefully ending this suffering, no longer having live this way.
